A life remembered

Regan
Bernard Rioch

September 22, 1975 — July 1, 1997

Some people stay with us in the stories we tell, the photographs we keep, and the ordinary moments we never forget.

Meet Regan
01 / HIS STORY

The Regan we knew

Happy just
to be there.

Regan was kind to a fault.

He didn't have a bad bone in his body. If someone needed help, he'd give whatever he could, without expecting anything in return.

He wasn't quiet. He enjoyed laughing, talking, and spending time with people. Yet for all that warmth, he was exceptionally considerate. He asked before stepping into someone else's personal space—even before offering a hug.

Regan wasn't the friend who needed to make all the plans. He was the one who was happy to come along. Playing video games indoors or wandering Saskatoon's streets with friends, looking for something to do: the company was what mattered.

Born in Englefeld, Saskatchewan, Regan later made his home in Saskatoon. He was a son, a brother, a father and a friend. Here, we remember the everyday moments that made him who he was.

“For Regan, it wasn't about what everyone was doing. It was about who he was doing it with.”

The stories still to tell

Do you remember
Regan?

The best memorial is one that keeps growing with the people who knew him. A shared joke. A night out with nowhere to go. A small act of generosity that stayed with you.

We're gathering memories and photographs to help tell Regan's story as he really was.

Visitor submissions are not yet enabled. We will add a moderated way for family and friends to share memories before public launch.

Why this place exists

More than a date.
More than a memory.

This memorial is being created to preserve Regan's story for the people who knew him and for those who never had that chance. It is meant to celebrate his life, not define him by his death.
